Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

8 Books I'm Going to Read This Summer

8 Books I'm Going to Read This Summer

Series

Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer - I read Cinder back in May and was really motivated to read the series, so I bought Scarlet and Cress. Then... I got distracted by A Song of Ice and Fire, and now I still haven't read these two. I don't think they will take very long to finish, since they are very easy and addicting to read.

Agent 6 by Tom Rob Smith - This is the last book in the Leo Demidov trilogy, which I have been really enjoying. Since each book reads similarly to a standalone novel, I'm not in a huge hurry to finish Agent 6, but I will definitely get to this sometime this summer.

A Dance with Dragons by George R.R. Martin - This is the series that is #1 on my to-complete list. A Song of Ice and Fire has taken over my reading life over the past few months and I'm totally OK with this. I'll be ready to tackle A Dance with Dragons once I get through a few of my book club picks, so this will be happening very soon!

Standalone Novels

Brave New World by Aldous Huxley- Speaking of book club picks, this one is scheduled as one of our July reads. I am excited to get to this iconic dystopian novel. It is one that I probably should have read by now, and now I will be!

Blindness by Jose Saramago - I've been in the mood for some dystopian, so I decided to add another title from that genre to my summer reading list. I picked up Blindness on a whim at Barnes and Noble because it is written by the legendary Jose Saramago.

Cloud Atlas & Bone Clocks by David Mitchell - These are the books I'm most apprehensive about reading this summer. In fact, I'm not even sure if I feel like reading them now, but they are the Impression Parade book club picks for July and August. I've heard Cloud Atlas can be quite confusing, so in my head this will be a tougher read, but I am still excited to read some David Mitchell books.

I'll probably pick up some other things if I finish all these, but these are the books I'm definitely going to be reading. What are you planning to read this summer?
